Washington Regional Medical Center, located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, opened as Washington County Hospital in 1950 as an acute care facility with 50 beds on the corner of College Avenue and North Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In August 2002, the new Washington Regional Medical Center opened with 233 beds on North Hills Boulevard, and has grown to 425 licensed beds as of 2019.

Washington Regional is home to the Walker Heart Institute that provides comprehensive cardiovascular care. The Institute is staffed by 10 board-certified cardiologists, 4 cardiovascular surgeons, and more than 300 heart health professionals. The 60-bed cardiology unit is currently undergoing expansion to further serve the Fayetteville-area.
